Some Useful Tips to Help Combat Hair Shedding

There are certain daily habits which one can follow to maintain healthy hair and decrease the amount of hair loss.

One may use mind relaxation techniques, meditation, and yoga for alleviating stress. A good quality sleep is another thing which is getting reduced in our routine.

Cigarette smoking is to be avoided as it not only contribute to hair loss by decreasing the blood supply to scalp and depriving it of the essential nutrients but also lead to many other disease like lung and heart problems.

One should eat healthy with adequate daily intake of fresh fruits and vegetable, which help us get essential micro nutrients and vitamins. The diet should be a balance diet containing adequate quantity of proteins, carbohydrates and fat. One should not miss taking adequate water so that hydration of the body is maintained as dehydration tends to make hair brittle and lustreless.

One should choose the shampoo and conditioning products wisely and judiciously. It’s a good habit to massage the head with oil before washing as massaging may help in improving the blood circulation in the scalp. Avoid combing in wet hair as they are more prone to breakage. Excessive heat while using dryer, heat straighteners or curling devices should be avoided.

One should avoid tight hair styling and tight braids for long time; this may lead to traction alopecia.
