Does transplanted hair have permanent life?

Yes the transplanted hair are for lifetime provide the patient doesn't have any such medical problem which can lead to hair loss and transplant is done on healthy scalp.

The point is how the transplanted hair is permanent. For this it is important to understand the characteristic of donor area, which is ideally the scalp area in back and sides. This is the preferred donor area because the hair follicles in this zone are resistant to the effect of DHT (the hormone mainly responsible for hair loss).

The hair follicles when transplanted from this safe area to the bald area, they maintain their characteristic of DHT resistance in the transplanted area also. This is called “ Donor Dominance”. That's why the transplanted hair are generally resistant to baldness.
