Can I use hair dryer after hair transplant?

For a successful hair transplant, one should follow the post-operative instruction given by the doctor strictly. In initial period after hair transplant one should avoid using the dryer as it takes approximately 7-10 days for the grafts to take up or get fixed in the recipient site. The scalp feels numb and heavy after the procedure and during this time one should avoid using hair dryer as it will be difficult to get the idea of the heat and one may damage the grafts and the skin of the scalp. In initial period it is better to let the hair and scalp get dry naturally and once the grafts has started growing and all healing has taken place then only one should start using the dryers. It is better to start the use with natural air or cold setting rather than warm or hot settings and should gradually move to the warmer option.
