Minoxidil can provide good results in early stages of baldness where there is only thinning of hairs. But one should also understand that it is not a guaranteed treatment and it is not that 100% patients will get the result. Minoxidil works by shortening the telogen phase and thereby causing early entry of the follicles into the anagen phase of growth cycle. But if you are getting the result then you will have to use it because on discontinuing the scalp will revert to the pretreatment condition over a period of time.
