What is the Duration of a Hair Transplant Procedure?

“Doctor, How much time does the surgery take” is a common question which is asked by the patients and it is difficult to answer in a general statement. It depends on the stage of baldness and the number of the grafts to be transplanted.

If we see In detail then, at our center on the day of surgery when the patient comes all the vital parameters are noted. Then final counselling and paper work regarding the informed consent is done. Drug hypersensitivity is checked and after changing into the OT clothes, patient is taken to the procedure room and then the actual surgery starts. The procedure itself may take 4-7 hours depending upon the area to be transplanted. During the procedure patient may watch TV or listen to music and may have some break in between also.
