Yes, you will be totally wake during the procedure. The procedure is done after infiltrating the local anesthesia in the scalp skin. This makes the scalp numb and patient does not feel any pain during the procedure. Hair transplant is generally not done under full general anesthesia. So, one is fully wake when the procedure is being done. During the procedure, one can watch TV or read something of their interest or listen to music. Before the procedure one may be given some anti-anxiety medicines to relieve stress and tension of the surgery to be done.
