Does transplanted hair go grey?

Transplanted hair are natural hairs and the follicles of which are taken from the permanent donor area on the scalp. These hairs will grow naturally and will follow the natural hair growth cycle. As the natural hair turns grey so these hairs will also turn grey. The hair pigment production is closely associated with the hair growth cycle and the pigment production is cyclically activated. Pigment producing cells are active during anagen phase and are hardly present in the anagen phase of the growth cycle. With age the pigment producing cells are markedly reduced in the hair bulb and this is determined genetically. So as transplanted hair follows all the growth pattern of natural hair so they turn grey as well like the natural hair.
