Is PRP therapy an alternative for hair transplant?

Hair transplant surgery and Platelet rich plasma therapy are totally two different things. Both have their own indications. PRP therapy is done when there is thinning of hairs instead of baldness and hair transplant is done when there is baldness and person has adequate donor grafts and is a good candidate for the procedure.

As there are growth factors present in the platelets, PRP improves the quality of hair and help in reversing the thinning of hairs.

So doing PRP would be inadequate and inappropriate for baldness when one is a candidate for hair transplant.
