Why hair transplant is not successful in some patients?

A successful hair transplant is a mix of many different successful steps. Any compromise in any of the steps can lead to unsuccessful outcome. The desired outcome or a successful outcome happens only when it is performed on an ideal candidate. Performing the surgery on a patient who is not a candidate may give a bad outcome and a bad name to the center.

While performing the procedure the donor follicles should be harvested from area which have safe hair bearing zone so that results are permanent and long lasting. Graft harvesting is one of the important step in hair transplant, while harvesting the grafts if it gets transected or handled roughly or it gets desiccated then the viability of graft follicles may get compromised. The grafts when inserted in wrong direction or in improper density like sparsely placed grafts will give undesirable result. Proper post procedural care should be taken for proper and healthy hair growth.
