How many grafts can be extracted from beard?

Extraction of donor grafts from beard is considered when the scalp donor is not adequate or when specifically beard grafts are required. Number of grafts that can be extracted depends on factors like number of grafts required, density of the beard area and whether it is second procedure or revision procedure where grafts have been extracted in first procedure also. In a primary procedure with good beard density approximately 1500 grafts can be extracted but it will also depend on experience of the treating doctor.
