Should I avoid hair transplant surgery if I am having cold or cough?

As a thumb rule if person is sick then one should avoid undergoing any procedure. As the hair transplant surgery is done under local anaesthesia one can undergo the procedure if one has mild cold and cough. But if the cold and cough are severe then one should avoid undergoing hair transplant as frequent coughing and straining may cause grafts to pop out and also cause more bleeding leading to undesirable effects. In presence of fever one should not go for the surgery.
